3CAD Next offers the possibility to customize the walls of standard (or custom) rooms previously created at any time.
To customize the walls of a room, do the following:
- Open the room in 3CAD Next planner.
- Select the 2D view.
Here users can apply the changes illustrated in the following paragraphs.
Adjust walls and corners
- Click on the wall you want to adjust.
- Click on one of the the anchor points (circles with four internal arrows) located at each end of the wall.
- Drag it while holding down.
- Release it when in the correct position. The angles' size is always displayed.
- Click on Projects in the top bar, and then Save Project to save the composition.
Change the angle of a wall
- Click on one of the two walls that form the angle.
- Click on the curved line that indicates the angle. It turns red.
- In the Edit angle modal that appears, set the values for Angle and Diagonal.
Note: Previous wall refers to the wall to the left of the angle, and Next wall refers to the wall to the right of the angle.

or click on the X. The changes apply to the angle.
- Click on Projects in the top bar, and then Save Project to save the composition.
Note: Setting walls' lengths and angles is independent of setting the floor or ceiling areas and shapes. All these elements need to be adjusted separately.
Change the wall's material and color
- Click on the wall to adjust.
- Click on the floating button on the left-hand side of the window to open the Library.
- Click on Variants.
- Set the wall's material and color.
- Click on Projects in the top bar, and then Save Project to save the composition.
Delete a wall
- Click on the wall.
- Press
Delete

- Click on Projects in the top bar, and then Save Project to save the composition.
Add a wall
- Click on the floating button on the left-hand side of the window to open the Library.
- Click on the Select walls icon between Library and Variants
- Select the Walls tab and click on a Free Wall picture (both standard and glass walls are available). A blue wall portion appears on the planner.
- Move the cursor to the planner, the wall portion sticks to the cursor. Start drawing the wall by clicking on the initial point, dragging the cursor, and clicking again on the ending point of the wall. The wall's length is always displayed. When completed, the wall turns gray.
- Users can now start drawing a second wall. By default, the configurator positions the starting point of the second wall where the first one ends. To start the second wall from another point press
Esc
, then repeat points 3 and 4, until all the walls are in place and pressEsc
to stop adding walls.
- Click on Projects in the top bar, and then Save Project to save the composition.
Note: You can freely move between 2D and 3D visualization by clicking on 2D and 3D respectively on the menu bar. Wall configuration is only possible in 2D visualization, except for material and color definition.
