In the 2D planner, the Layers tool can be used to allow or prevent the visibility of items, their repositioning, and editing. All the items and articles in the scene are organized into 6 layers that can be independently managed.
Layers are applied to the following item groups:
- Base units, such as base cabinets,
- Wall items, such as doors, windows, niches, and utilities,
- Wall units, such as wall cabinets,
- Walls,
- Floor,
- Ceiling.
For each layer, you can decide whether:
- showing or hiding that layer (type of element), for example, hiding all the base units,
- locking or unlocking it (therefore enabling or disabling its editing and repositioning), for example, locking all the walls.
Note: The Layers tool is supported in the 2D planner view only.
To use the layer functionality, do the following:
- Click on the Layers button in the 2D toolbar.
- Identify the correct layer among the 6 available.
- Click on the appropriate button on the right-hand side of the layer symbol:
- eye symbol for showing or hiding the layer,
- lock symbol for locking or unlocking the layer.
