The 3CAD Next workspace is the primary working area for configuring items in both 2D and 3D. It is displayed as a blank whiteboard structured into four functional areas:
-
The top bar, at the top of the window.
A dynamic bar holding both tools and settings.
See Tools and settings: the 3CAD Next top bar for more information.
-
The left-hand sidebar (menu bar).
A dynamic bar holding the menu to navigate the 3CAD Next sections.
See The 3CAD Next left-hand side bar (menu bar) for more information.
-
The planner toolbar, on the right-hand side of the screen.
It is provided with frequently used tools, is dynamic, and adapts to the context (2D, 3D, Viewmaker, etc.)
See The planner toolbar for more information.
-
The Catalog button, floating on the top left corner of the planner.
It holds dynamic menus that adapt their content to the context. For example, it contains the articles' Library (catalog) when the user is in the Full view mode, along with the Variants menu when selecting an article on the planner. In the View maker mode, it contains the list of all generated views.
Specific uses and content of this button are clarified in the documentation related to each context.
