In 3CAD Next, users can retrieve customer data both when creating a new project, to assign a customer to it, and within an existing project, to change the customer assigned.
Retrieve customer data while creating a new project
After clicking on New Project on the 3CAD Next homepage, you are directly redirected to the Customer assignment pop-up window.
Note: Similarly, if you click on Projects > New Project on the top bar (when visible), the Customer assignment pop-up window opens.
From here, to retrieve customer data take the following steps:

In the Customer assignment modal, search for the customer of your interest.

If useful, filter customers from the search bar, alternatively by:
- CREATION DATE
- FIRST NAME
- LAST NAME

Click on the check box under the column Actions corresponding to the customer you selected. The customer's email appears beneath the customers' list.
Note: Only one customer can be assigned to each project. -
Press the button Select Or Add New.
Note: If the button is not visible, scroll down the customers' list to make it visible. -
The customer's data is now displayed. Press the button Select Customer.

The customer is now retrieved and assigned to the new project. It is possible to proceed with the creation of the project (see How to create a new project).
Retrieve customer data within an existing project
It is possible to retrieve customer data from the planner, when an existing project is open, for example, to assign the project to a different customer.
To retrieve a customer of an existing project, do the following:

Open the project in 3CAD Next planner.

Click on Customer in the left-hand side menu bar, the Customer info page opens.

3. Click on Select A Customer at the bottom of the page.

In the Customer assignment page that opens, search for the customer of your interest.

If useful, filter customers from the search bar, alternatively by:
- CREATION DATE
- FIRST NAME
- LAST NAME

Click on the check box under the column Actions corresponding to the customer you selected. The customer's email appears beneath the customers' list.
Note: Only one customer can be assigned to each project. -
Press the button Select Or Add New.
Note: If the button is not visible, scroll down the customers' list to view it. -
The customer's data is now displayed. Press the button Select Customer.

The customer is now retrieved and assigned to the existing project. You are automatically redirected to the Customer info page where the new customer's info is displayed, click on Save Information.
- Click on Projects, and then Save Project to save the change.
