Saving the composition as a template allows users to store it in a gallery folder and recall it in the future from a new or existing project (see the Importing preset compositions from the gallery article). The composition can be saved from the planner at any time, both from the 2D or the 3D view.
To save a composition as a template, do the following:
-
In the planner, click on Tools, then Gallery & Render, and finally Save Gallery in the top bar.
-
In the modal that opens, fill in the following fields:
-
Code
It is a mandatory unique code that will be associated with the template. Codes must be univocal even if templates are saved in separate folders.NOTE: A new template saved with the same name as a previous one already in the gallery overwrites it, regardless of whether saving it in the same folder or a different one.
-
Description
Optional.
-
Gallery type
Choose the gallery type that best describes your composition. This choice supports a better graphical visualization of the template in the planner. If no Gallery type fits your composition, choose Undefined.
-
Gallery target
Defines who will have access to the template. Permission can be granted based on Country, Chain, Sellers (user level), Shop, or User.
-
Save as private gallery?
Users can choose to make the template private and therefore visible only to themselves by ticking Private.
-
Tag name
Optional, it is possible to associate already created tags to the template, by clicking on them. It is also possible to type new tags in the Tag Name field and then press Add Tag.
Note: It is possible to clear tags associated with the template, before saving, by clicking on the Clear Tags button. Tags disappear from the bottom field on the right, and they are now cleared.
-
Gallery tree folders
Select the folder you want to save your template into. It is possible to create new folders by clicking on the New Folder button, or delete an existing empty folder by selecting the folder to delete and pressing the Delete Folder button. It is not possible to delete non-empty folders.
-
-
Press the Save Gallery button. The composition uploads in the gallery and it can now be retrieved as a template, by clicking on Tools, Gallery & Render, and then Load Gallery. The gallery is structured as a folder repository, and you can browse folders in the TREE FOLDER GALLERY section on the right-hand side of the window. Within each folder, it is also possible to skim items by selecting specific tags in the SAVED TAG LIST under the TREE FOLDER GALLEY, if they have been assigned to the template.
