3CAD Next adopts an effective versioning system applied to the quotations and reporting section.
See How to generate a pdf quote, for more information on this section.
Versioning allows users to store multiple versions of the same project and to quickly switch from one version to another.
At any time users can open and download any version of the project's quote previously created and, by recalling it, the configuration in the planner is brought back to the state it had when that version was created.
Example
The project of a black leather chair is created and the quote is generated. After generating the quote, the chair covering is modified from black to red leather, and a new quote is generated.
Now 2 quotes are stored in the Summary section and the user can switch back to the previous one at any time. When recalling the first quote (black leather chair), and then moving to the planner, the user finds the black leather chair in it.
To restore previous quote versions do as follows:
-
Open your project in 3CAD Next.
-
Click on Summary on the left-hand sidebar, to reach the Summary window.
-
In the Version list section, find the version of your interest among the ones in the list.
-
Click on the backward arrow to restore it.
-
Confirm your choice by clicking on Yes in the pop-up window. After a short loading, the previous version is restored.
Note: Restoring previous versions overwrites any saved change of the current version. If you want to be able to recall the current project status in the future, generate a quote of the current version, before restoring the previous one.
