You can personalize print outputs by adding your customer’s logo. The logo is saved in the customer's master data and can be reused in future projects' documents, ensuring consistent branding across different outputs.
Feature overview
The logo upload option is available both in the Customer assignment and the Customer info modals. Once uploaded, the logo is stored in both the project JSON file and the guestbook.ddb. This allows the same logo to appear automatically in new projects' prints without the need to upload it again.
Upload a logo
-
Open the Customer assignment or Customer info modal.
See the article How to register a new customer if you need more guidance on this step.
Note: This image displays a customized modal. However, the feature illustrated and its functioning are identical on both standard and customized versions.
Click the Customer's logo upload box to open the folder browser, or drag and drop the logo file into it.
Save the changes.
When you add a customer logo, the file is stored in:
- The project JSON (for this specific project), and
-
guestbook.ddb(for persistent availability across projects).
Print outputs that include a logo placeholder in their template will automatically display the uploaded customer logo.
Verify in print outputs
Generate a print preview for a document that includes a logo placeholder (e.g., a quote or proposal template) and check:
- The logo shows in the correct position.
- The size and aspect ratio look right (no stretching).
- The background blends well (transparent or matching the template).
- Readability at print scale.
Tips for best use
-
Logo file: Use a clear, high‑resolution image (PNG or JPEG).
-
Background: Prefer a transparent PNG when printing on colored templates.
-
Maintain aspect ratio: Avoid distortion by using the original width/height ratio of the logo.
-
Use adequate contrast: If your template background is dark, use a light (or inverted) logo variant.
-
Template alignment: If the logo feels too large or small, adjust the template placeholder size rather than stretching the image.
- Version control: If your customer updates their brand, replace the logo so future print outputs reflect the new identity.
Troubleshooting
-
Background box around the logo: Use a transparent PNG or ensure the logo background color matches the template.
-
Logo not appearing in print: Confirm the print template includes a logo placeholder and that the logo was saved in Customer info.
-
Wrong logo shows up: Replace the logo in Customer info and refresh the print preview.
- Logo looks blurry in print: Re-export at higher resolution.
