3CAD Next offers the possibility to import preset compositions in the planner. Preset compositions are stored in the template gallery and they can then be used as such or as a design base, where users are allowed to delete or modify any element, as well as to add new items to it.
It is possible to import a preset composition either in the process of creating a new project, or from the planner, within an existing project. Both procedures are illustrated in the following paragraphs.
Importing preset compositions while creating a new project
To import a template composition in the process of creating a new project, take the following steps:
-
In the 3CAD Next homepage, click on New Project.
-
Choose a customer to assign the project to, create one, or press Skip.
-
Select the type of environment (standard room, customs room, no room).
Note: When defining a room, consider the size of the preset item to insert, to avoid the element not fitting in the room created. -
Select the correct catalog by clicking on it.
Note: This step does not apply if users have access to only one catalog. -
Select the correct commercial model or technical model by clicking on it.
Note: This step may vary depending on users' front-end configuration. -
Define the header variants, if any exist for the specific commercial or technical model selected.
-
Click on the Inspiration button to open the gallery.
-
The gallery is structured as a folder repository, and you can browse folders in the TREE FOLDER GALLERY section on the right-hand side of the window. Within each folder, it is also possible to skim items by selecting specific tags in the SAVED TAG LIST under the TREE FOLDER GALLEY.
-
Once you identified the item to insert, click on the Open button under the chosen item.
-
A pop-up window appears where you choose whether to apply the header variants previously selected (in step 6) to the template or not. Select the desired option and the item is immediately loaded into the planner.
-
Save by clicking on Projects, then Save Project in the top bar.
Importing templates from the planner
