The Edit wall dialog gives you full control over a wall's dimensions and positioning. Dragging a wall in the workspace is quick, but when you need exact values or want to decide how a change affects the rest of your layout, this is the place to do it.
In the dialog, you can:
- Set the wall's exact length, depth, and height.
- Choose which end of the wall moves when you change its length.
- Choose which side of the wall grows or shrinks when you change its depth.
- Keep the angles with adjacent walls unchanged while you resize.
- Apply a height change to every wall in the workspace at once.
- Separate a wall from the walls it touches.
This article explains how to open the dialog and what each setting does, so you can make precise changes with predictable results.
How the Edit wall dialog works
- Select the wall you want to edit.
- Press the
spacebar. The Edit wall dialog opens.
- Change the fields you need, then click Apply. The dialog closes, and your changes take effect immediately.
