How to register a new customer

After clicking on New project on the 3CAD Next homepage, or clicking on Projects and then New Project in the upper bar in the planner, you are directly redirected to the Customer assignment pop-up window.

From here, to register new customers, take the following steps:

1. In the Customer assignment modal, press the button Select Or Add New.

   Note: If the button is not visible, scroll down the customers' list to view it.
   
   
    

2. Fill out the form that appears (only the email address field is mandatory).
    
3. Press the button Register | Select. The customer is now registered and assigned to the new project. It is possible to proceed with the creation of the project (see How to create a new project).
   
   

It is possible to register a new customer starting from an existing project, for example, to change the customer to whom the project is assigned.
It is either possible to create a new customer record that will be associated with the specific project only or create one that will be inserted in the general customers' list.

 

To register a new customer associated with one project only, do the following:

1. Open the project in the 3CAD Next planner.
    
2. Click on Customer in the left-hand side menu bar, and the Customer info page opens.
   
   
   
    
3. Fill out the form with the customer's information (only the email address field is mandatory).
    
4. When done filling out the form, click on Save Information.
    
5. Click on Projects, and then Save Project to save the change.
   
   
    

Note: To register a new customer to be inserted in the general customer's list, click on Select A Customer at the bottom of the Customer info page to be redirected to the Customer assignment page. From here, follow the instructions described in the previous section Register a new customer while creating a new project.
