The Tables area contains most of the Supervisor's static information that is defined when setting up 3CAD Next. It is visible only to the Supervisor's administrators.
The sections included in this area are:
Note:
As a general guideline for both LayEdit and Supervisor, it is recommended to enter only alphanumeric characters in all tables, including those related to neuter articles, modeled articles, and prices.
While there is no specific list of prohibited characters, the use of special keyboard characters, such as
/ _ ; . - * , etc.
is not recommended, as they may cause incorrect interpretation by the software.
Modules
This section contains a list of the existing 3CAD modules. Currently active modules are:
- ADM, for 3CAD Next administrators.
- W200, for evaluating the BOM.
- JOB, for the management of the Job section.
Only needed modules are to be added to the list.
User group
User groups are parameters that define the user's access rights to 3CAD Next services.
To learn more, see article How do User groups work?
Group data
This table allows creating a specific folder tree so that 3CAD Next projects can be saved in separate folders (instead of in a single data folder as done by default). Each row represents one of the folders.
Note: This data-folder structure is not necessary for the 3CAD Next proper functioning. When it is implemented, it is not possible to qualify users to view other users' projects if they are stored in a separate folder.
Supervisor
This list holds the license codes and the email addresses (description) of all the users qualified to access the Supervisor.
Seller level
Seller levels are parameters that define the user's authorizations to services concerning the order processing flow in 3CAD Next.
To learn more, see article What are Seller levels?
Countries
This table holds the list of all the countries that can be used to manage the 3CAD Next front-end and back-end (see article How to fill the Countries table of the Supervisor for further information).
Languages
This table holds all the languages that can be used for the management of the 3CAD Next front-end and back-end (see article How to fill the Languages table of the Supervisor for further information).
Brands
The Brands section holds a table of all the project's brands. At least one brand (one entry) must be created in each project for its proper functioning.
The concept of Brands can be flexibly used in 3CAD Next as a sub-brand of the main company brand, and/or as a structural element above the concepts of catalog and model. Defining multiple brands can be useful to differentiate catalogs or models, maintaining all the products in a single portfolio. For example, different brands can be visualized on separate front-ends, but they reside on the same back-end environment.
Note: The full implementation of multiple Brands requires front-end customization.
3CADPro users
This section has ended its use and will be dismissed in future releases.
