User groups are 3CAD Next's parameters that, along with the Seller level, define the user's access rights to 3CAD Next services. Each user is assigned to one User group.
To learn more about Seller levels, see article What are Seller levels?
Specifically, User groups can be associated with one or more 3CAD Next modules so that users belonging to that group can access them.
Currently existing 3CAD Next modules are:
-
ADM
The module that qualifies users, in combination with the Seller level (see article What are Seller levels?), as 3CAD Next managers (not Supervisor managers).
-
W200
It qualifies users to evaluate the BOM. -
JOB
The module for the management of the Job section.
To add a new User group to the Users group table, take the following steps:
-
Access the Users groups table by clicking on Group of Users in the Supervisor dashboard under Tables.
-
Under Add new table row, add the group's CODE. It can be freely chosen from any positive integer number, with the only exception of the code 999 which represents the group of administrators by default. A coherent numbering is suggested.
-
Add the group's DESCRIPTION, free text.
-
Add the MODULES that users of this group are qualified to access, separated by semicolon.
-
Click the + button under the column ACTION. The new group is now created.
-
Click on Save Table on the top left-hand side of the window.
