Commercial models are created, edited, and deleted in the Catalog area of the Supervisor.
They are superstructures over the technical models that allow you personalization in product visualization and management. Depending on the catalog specifics, the project can have:
-
one-level structured commercial models,
-
two-level structured commercial models (Root and Final).
In this case, final commercial models need to be created before root commercial models. For more detailed guidance, see the article Commercial models.
Create a commercial model
To create a new commercial model, take the following steps:
-
Enter the Supervisor (in the correct environment).
-
If more than one catalog has been created in the Supervisor, select the right one at the top of the Catalog area.
-
Click on Commercial models, in the Catalog area of the dashboard. The Commercial models' list opens.
-
Click on Create Model on the left side of the top bar.
-
In the form that opens, fill in the appropriate fields. The fields that need to be filled are the following:
-
Code: An alphanumeric code freely defined.
-
Description: A commercial model's short description.
-
Help/info: Additional textual information.
-
Authorizations: Define the model's visibility to Users, Shops, Countries, User groups, and Brands.
Note: Multiple authorizations can be granted simultaneously. For example, it is possible to authorize multiple users, shops, countries, etc., to the same commercial model, also combining different criteria at the same time. Therefore, authorization to model A can be granted to users X, Y, and Z, to all users belonging to shops 1 and 2, and to all users having access to brands 123 and 321 (authorization criteria are cumulative with each other).
