The Catalog area contains multiple tools dedicated to the catalog's management and customization. It does not require the Supervisor's admin rights to access it.
The sections included in this area are:
Commercial models
Commercial models are superstructures over technical models that allow you wide customization in product visualization and management.
For detailed guidance on commercial models, see the article Commercial models.
Commercial Pricelists
This section allows users to create multiple price lists from a single technical reference, adjusting prices with multipliers and currencies for diverse markets, customers, and promotions—all centrally managed.
For detailed guidance, see the article Multi price list and discount manager.
Discounts Library
In this section, users may find a centralized tool to streamline discount structures across commercial price lists, organized by product category and user profile.
For detailed guidance, see the article Multi price list and discount manager.
Group of variants and group of variants (commercial)
Group of variants and group of variants (commercial) are items allowing the creation of filters for the restriction of variants' visibility.
For detailed guidance on groups of variants and groups of variants (commercial), see the article Restrictions on variants (group of variants).
Items per models
This section of the Supervisor allows users to create modeled articles dedicated to specific uses.
For detailed guidance, see the article Items per models.
Limiting Variants
This section allows users to activate the filters created in the sections Group of Variants and Group of Variants (commercial) only for given neuter articles, combinations of models and items, or when other variants take specific values.
For detailed guidance, see the article Restrictions on variants (Limiting variants).
Limits Simulator
It is a useful tool to verify the impact of variant limits under specific conditions.
For detailed guidance on the limit simulator, see the article What is the Limit Simulator?
Commercial models filter groups
It allows users to implement a tag-based filtering system for commercial models.
For detailed guidance on commercial models filter groups, see the article Commercial models filter groups.
Final Executors
In this section, Final Executors, also called Final Jobs, are created. They are scripts for the final evaluation of the article rules to prevent the coexistence of incompatible articles or specifics in the same composition. Since article rules are defined independently from each other in the catalog (LayEdit), final executors represent a necessary step in the design phase. They are partly activated automatically, and partly manually, through the Evaluate Finals function in 3CAD Next (see article Tools and settings: the 3CAD Next top bar).
