The Replica in Series feature allows you to duplicate an item multiple times in a single operation. You can control how many copies are created, the direction of duplication, and the spacing between each instance.
This feature is integrated into the positioning workflow in 3D view, so you can create structured layouts without switching tools.
How to create a series of copies
Follow these steps to duplicate an item in a series:
- Select the object
Choose the item you want to replicate in the scene, such as a shelf or base unit.
- Open the update position dialog
Access the positioning tools for the selected object by pressing the spacebar.
- Enable replica in series
Locate the Replica in Series drop-down section within the positioning tools. Click to expand.
- Choose the direction
Flag the axis along which the copies will be created:- X (length)
- Y (height)
- Z (depth)
- Set the number of copies
Enter how many instances you want to generate.
- Define the spacing
Enter the distance between each copy.
- Apply the changes
Click Update and confirm the operation to generate the replicated series.
