The Supervisor's Catalogs section holds the list of all the catalogs published in 3CAD Next, and the details of each one of them. The catalogs in the list are accessible only in the specific 3CAD Next environment (dev, test, prod) that the Supervisor you are in refers to. If the same catalog needs to be accessible from other environments, it needs to be created in the related Supervisor.
To learn more about Supervisor environments, see the article How many Supervisor environments are there?
It is essential to distinguish between the Supervisor catalog (the catalog's container), created in the Supervisor and published into 3CAD Next, and the LayEdit catalog (the catalog's content), created in LayEdit and published into 3CAD Next, within the catalog's container previously created.
Both the Supervisor's catalog (the container) and the LayEdit's catalog (the content) must be created to visualize the catalog in 3CAD Next, and they must be named identically. Nevertheless, they are two defined entities that need to be handled separately. The catalog's container is managed uniquely from the Supervisor, while the catalog's content is managed from LayEdit.
When clicking on Catalogs in the Supervisor's dashboard, the Catalog list opens. Here all catalogs published in the 3CAD Next environment (dev, test, or prod) are listed.
In this window, it is possible to:
-
Create a catalog
-
Edit a catalog
-
Delete a catalog
To create, edit, or delete a catalog, see article How to create, edit, and delete a catalog in the Supervisor.
