and the fields that need to be compiled are the following.
Catalogue section
-
Code: the catalog's name (mandatory field)
Note: The Supervisor catalog and the LayEdit catalog must be named identically (see article The Catalogs section of the Supervisor for more information). -
Description: Catalog's short description (optional field)
Note: Both code and description can be searched for from the search bar when selecting a catalog in 3CAD Next. It is therefore advisable to fill these fields meaningfully. -
Def. version: Indicate the catalog's default version. If not filled, the default value is 0.
To learn more about catalog versioning, see article Catalog versioning -
Local: Not to be activated.
-
Owners: This field is currently used only to set the Administrators' group (code 999) as a group owner. To fill it properly, click on Groups, then select group 999 in the field Add new owners. Finally, click on the + button on the right-hand side of the field.
-
Date: Optionally, it is possible to set a catalog's availability date in the fields From date, To date. When set, the catalog will be accessible only within the dates set in the fields.
Extra data section
This section is used for front-end customizations only, and it is not to be filled otherwise.Versions section
This section is used to define users' access to catalog versions.
To learn more about catalog versioning, see article Catalog versioning -
Click on Save Catalog in the top bar. The new catalog is now created and will appear in the Catalog list.
