The 3CAD Next planner allows you to browse the catalog and choose the articles to insert into the composition. According to the user's needs, the catalog items can be grouped based on model, typology, and dimension criteria, to ease the search process. Once found the item, you can select it, add it to the composition, and graphically displace it to the desired position in the scene. Articles can be inserted in the scene whether it is an empty environment or a room was previously created.
To insert articles to the scene, take the following steps:
- Open your project in the 3CAD Next planner.
Note: Articles can be added either from the 2D, 3D or Elevation mode, according to your needs.
-
Click on the Configure button on the left-hand side of the window to open the Library.
Note: If adding articles in the 2D view, click on the Select Catalogs button.
- Browse the article classifications and subclassifications on the left to find the article you are looking for. The search bar can be used to simplify the search within the selected classification or subclassification.
| Note: The enhanced article library has recently been launched. For more information, please refer to the article Enhanced article library. |
-
When you identify the article to insert, roll over it and the Select button appears in the overlay. Click on it and the article is added to the planner.
Note: If the article is a unit with a door, by clicking on Select, the article is inserted in the planner having its door opening on the default side (defined in LayEdit). Alternatively, you can click on the right or left arrow under the article's picture to insert it with a specific door opening (respectively right or left).
-
