How to insert architectural elements into a room

3CAD Next offers the possibility to enrich the walls of a standard or custom room by inserting and customizing architectural elements such as:

• Niches
• Pass through niches
• Wall pillars (adjacent to the wall or free-standing)

To add architectural elements to a wall, do the following:

1. Open the room in 3CAD Next planner.
    
2. Select the 2D view.
    
3. Select the wall to add the element to by clicking on it (skip this step for free-standing pillars).
    
4. Click on the Configure button on the left-hand side of the window to open the Library.
   
   
    
5. Click on the Select walls icon between Library and Variants.
   
   
    
6. Select the Walls tab and click on the architectural element you want to insert (Niche, Pass through Niche, Wall pillar, or Wall pillar free).
   Note: If placing a Niche, a Pass through Niche, or a Wall pillar, the element appears on the wall. If placing a Wall pillar free, click on < to close the left-side menu, then click on the free-standing-pillar image on the left side of the screen. The pillar appears.
   
   
    
7. Place the element in the correct position by dragging it while holding down.
    
8. Click on Projects in the top bar, and then Save Project to save the composition.
   Note: You can freely move between 2D and 3D visualizations by clicking on 2D and 3D respectively on the menu bar. Architectural elements configuration is only possible in 2D visualization.

To further edit and customize architectural elements, users can now apply the changes illustrated in the following paragraphs.
