3CAD Next offers the possibility to enrich the walls of a standard or custom room by inserting and customizing fenestrations such as:
- Doors
- Windows
- French doors
To add fenestrations to a wall, do the following:
- Open the room in 3CAD Next planner.
- Select the 2D view.
- Select the wall to add the element to by clicking on it.
Click on the floating button on the left-hand side of the window to open the Library.
Click on the Select walls icon between Library and Variants.
- In this menu, select the Doors and Windows tab and click on the element (Door, Window, or French Door) to insert. The element appears on the wall.
- Place the element in the correct position by dragging it while holding down.
- Click on Projects in the top bar, and then Save Project to save the composition.
Note: Users can freely move between 2D and 3D visualizations by clicking on 2D and 3D respectively on the menu bar. Fenestration configuration is only possible in 2D visualization.
To further edit and customize fenestrations, users can now apply the changes illustrated in the following paragraphs.
Reposition the fenestration to a specific location
Select the fenestration by clicking on it.
- Drag it while holding down to position it correctly.
- Click on Projects in the top bar, and then Save Project to save the composition.
Change the fenestration's settings (width, height, handle, etc.)
Select the fenestration by clicking on it.
- Click on the floating button on the left-hand side of the window to open the Library.
Click on Variants.
- Select the appropriate values.
Note: Settings vary according to the fenestration element.
- Click on Projects in the top bar, and then Save Project to save the composition.
Delete the fenestration
- Click on the fenestration.
- Press
Delete
.
- Click on Projects in the top bar, and then Save Project to save the composition.
